Late Shri Baburaoji Gholap established the Poona District Education Association in September 1941 with the prime objective of expansion of education in rural area as the name depicts, in he Pune District particularly. The main objective of P.D.E.A. is “Social Reform through Education”.

The progress of P.D.E.A. was catered by developments in educational scenario. Recognizing the need for higher technical, medical and management education, the management decided to conduct these courses in all the branches of the institution and today these courses are conducted in most of the P.D.E.A.’s colleges.

This college steadily made progress and to date has turned into multi-streamed college offering courses in Arts, Commerce and Science and Vocational Streams both at junior and senior level.

At present, college has strength of around 2000students and has good infrastructure facilities such as building, enriched library, well equipped laboratories, gymkhana, sports ground etc. The well-qualified staff is feather in the cap.
