Highlights of the Department:

Chemistry being the core subject of not only the physical science but also life sciences, can open the career in diverse field such as Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical sciences, environmental science, Polymer science and nano Science to name a few.

Apart from chemical industries, academic institutes, Research laboratories, Public and private sector are always in search of experts in chemistry. A post graduation in organic chemistry will definitely open the avenues for the aspiring students. A post graduate in organic chemistry can also pursue higher education in India and abroad leading to a Ph.D. degree. Within a short span of a time, our department has achieved a reputation due to our meritorious students. Some of them are perusing Ph. D degree in India and abroad.

Some of our distinguished students are already working in the reputed R & D Laboratories and oharmaceutical industries such as Zydus cadila, Nicolus-Pyramal, Ranbaxy, Cipla,, Emcure, Sygene, Sai pharma, chem-Biotech, Jubilent-Chemsis, RSI to name a few.

Infrastructure:

Full equipped three laboratories for UG and three laboratories for PG, HOD room, Staff room, 12 Computers, 2 HP laser Jet printers, 1 LCD, 1 OHP, teaching aids like models and charts.

Departmental Library: 100 reference books.

More than 5000 books and Resaerch Journals of chemistry are available in central Library.
